Good step brother book. I like the ones where they become step siblings in High school. This one even went into college. Love it. Recommend it and it has bonus books.
I was given an ARC for an honest review. Wow! I really loved this story! Blake is so strong and brave. I love the playfulness and passion between Alyssa and Blake. The story moves along smoothly and it is well developed. I did not feel that it was rushed. At times, I felt so bad for Blake and frustrated with Alyssa. But, I guess this is the effect the story is supposed to have. I loved how blake was not afraid to show his emotions and there is a particular scene in their home kitchen that melted my heart. It is truly a sweet and sexy story of young, passionate love. Thank You Mia for sharing your work!!!
I really enjoy reading Mia Carson's step brother romances. She always brings it. In Score I found myself in suspense wondering what was going to happen next and even sometimes yelling at both Alyssa and Blake. In the end I was really happy with the outcome. The books ending was good as was the books contents. I received my ARC in exchange for my honest review. As always Mia keepem coming.
The romance is good, but I find it hard to read due to some of the inaccuracies of the athletic side of the story. It's reads more like how sports are done in high school, not realistic for college athletics at all. A college scholarship athlete would have had to commit to a school months before the school started and they would have been in preseason training at least a month before. Its unbelieve even at a smaller school that a college football game would have been stopped due to fighting in the crowd. The whole sports aspect of the story is unrealistic in college athletics. Also the easy acceptance of ending other relationships and telling their parents is not realistic either. Okay story.
The thing I love about Mia Carson's books is her men. In Score, Blake was the one laying it out on the line. He didn't hold back and he let his emotions shine through. It makes him so real, you're able to really connect with his character. There were scenes where my heart really hurt for the poor guy. I also thought the story was going to go a whole nother route for a minute but Carson comes along and threw me for a loop. 3 and a half stars for this emotional and sexy young romance! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
I received this book as an ARC for my honest review and opinion. I love Mia Carson books. Score is a step brother romance between Blake and Alyssa. I loved that Blake was not shy to show or admit his feeling for Alyssa. I was kind of annoyed with her for a while but then i got over it. I liked how Mia kept me on my toes wondering what was going to happen next between them. Don't want to give much away so you just have to read this great book and find out how Blake and Alyssa end. Can't wait to read what Mia has next to read.
