This book is published by Nabu Publishing which has had quality control issues with other books they have published. Many books I have gotten from them were poorly scanned (over exposing of the odd numbered pages) which was not corrected prior to the printing process resulting in large amounts of print being missing. The resulting product was not readable and of no use. This particular defect does not appear in the original books available to read on the internet. You can view and read scanned copies of many of these out-of-copyright books on the internet so you can tell what sorts of defects are to be expected in a re-print of such a book.The particular copy of this book that I received did not have the above mentioned defect. All the print was readable. It is a typical genealogical text with lists of people's birth, marriage, and death dates and lists of their children. This is pretty dry stuff unless you are really into genealogical research. Then the book is incredibly valuable. It covers four lines of the Frye family as noted in the title and covers the approx. years 1600-late 1800s. Originally published in 1902 the author, Elizabeth Frye Barker, could possibly have know many of the people she wrote about. There is a useful index.
I recommend you only purcase this book from a seller with high customer satisfaction ratings because if the copy you receive has the defects found in other Nabu books you will be wanting your money back.
